We saw this guy waiting at the airport! Hahahahahaha. He was not amused that Chris took his picture.
The darling little lady on the right was juggling 2 little balls and had her little black cup out there hoping for some tips.
The French Riviera is amazing as it sounds
Costa Pacifica
There were lots of activities for the kids. One day they had a "Captain for the Day" activity. It was super cute!
The sunsets and sunrises were spectacular!
Marseille, France
We tried to go do a zip line adventure park but, it was closed. Even though we called and they said they were open. Haha. So, Chris and Ethan went swimming while Dalton, Seth, and I ate lunch and collected sea glass.
We went on a Segway tour of the city with Jean Pierre. He was super awesome and we talked about him for the rest of the trip. It was my first time on Segways and I may have a had a couple of mishaps... Jean Pierre stayed close by me after that.
Corsica is a French island that is about thigh high on the Italy boot.
Leaving the boat
Renting bikes
Farmer's Market
We made it to our destination. We mostly chose this spot cause I was swearing and crying about it being too hard. Turns out I had a stupid bike. I liked the ride back much better.
I added this picture because of Seth. Nice photo bomb!
Dalton using the reflection to get a picture of Ethan
This is what happens when you fall asleep when Ethan is around. Hee hee!
Sardinia, Italy
Sardinia is an Italian island that is located about shin high on the "boot" . You know how Italy looks like a boot, and the boot is kicking a ball (Sicily)? This island is located above Sicily about shin high. We found an AMAZING cheese store! We bought so much cheese and ate it until we were sick! My mouth is watering just thinking about it!
More Segways.
I made Ethan pose here. He's not happy about it but I thought it looked cool with the graffiti
My 3 stooges.
Valletta, Malta
Malta is a little island that is its very own country. It is located South of the Italy boot, Sicily. It use to be part of the British Empire but is now its own country. Their language is a mixture of Italian and Arabic.
You can't really tell but this guy had 5 dogs he was walking!
Golden Beach
Rome, Italy
We were only in Rome for one day which is NOT enough time at all! Rome left me speechless.
We started our day out at the Vatican. I did not realize that it is considered its own country.
St. Peter's Cathedral
View looking out of St. Peter's Cathedral
The window in the top middle is the window that the Pope comes out to address the people on Easter and Christmas
At one point the Swiss army was considered one of the best in the world. The church hired them to protect the Vatican. They still stand guard today.
Dalton captured the reflection of the Cathedral in the window.
Inside St. Peter's Cathedral
You are not allowed to take pictures in the Sistine Chapel but it was pretty amazing. It was not at all what I thought it was going to look like. But, still cool.
Under this black pedestal is where Peter the Apostle is buried.
Best part of the ENTIRE trip! Breath taking!
Out in the city
City Hall
Our tour guide, Paula (pronounced Powla). She was SO crazy!
Faces of Rome
Hahahaha
It was an amazing trip that I am so grateful that we got to do together!
Wow! That is so awesome that you got to go to France and Italy!! I wonder if you'll end up living there one day. The pictures were so fun to see! We're excited to see you soon! Love you! Jen
Oh yeah! And my favorite pictures are Chris's sand bum and the nun. The military guy looks exactly like the police in Ecuador. They carried machine guns around with them all the time!
