Kiev

Just off the plane and out of the taxi!  The taxi driver knew right where to take us.  "Oh!  New temple, Mormon temple, yeah?"  He had lots of questions for Chris.  Too bad not all temples have a visitor's center!  So many people are curious about this place!

This picture looks like a postcard or something but I took it with my very own phone!

People Watching - one of our favorite things to do.  I like to make up fake lives for them.

These were all taken at a street market.  So many people!!

I want to know if they are sitting on some paper or cardboard...  If not, they will surely die from internal freezing!

The happiest Babushka I have ever seen!

Dalton and I were afraid she was catching on that we were taking pictures of her.  We quickly moved on.

This Bob was selling her paintings.

The camera makes me think she is a tourist.

The grey t-shirt says, Dill.  Hahahahahahahaha.  In case you don't know, they put dill in EVERYTHING!!

Mustaches are funny all over the world!

Check out the painting on the side of the car.  This bear really knows how to pimp his ride!
 Buildings

These two pictures were taken in Maidan Square.  You can see where the building was damaged by the fire.  The entire front and other side of the building is covered so you cannot see the damage.  It was humbling to know that less than a year ago, there was turmoil and sadness in this very spot.

The Mother Motherland Statue.  She sits on top of the museum of the history of Ukraine in WWII.  She is 203' tall, including the museum, she is 335' tall, weighing 560 tons.
Just in case you are unsure as to what is and isn't allowed on a plane leaving the Ukraine.  Crochet needles, pool balls, brass knuckles, ninja stars, toxic chemicals...  I found it amusing.
